The Frazier Museum Presents Women's Work: The Paper Doll Quilts of Rebekka Seigel
The Frazier International History Museum presents “Women’s Work: The Paper Doll Quilts of Rebekka Seigel”, January 26, 2008 through March 30, 2008. “Women’s Work” details the lives of thirteen inspiring women throughout history through an inspiring, vibrant collection of widely acclaimed quilts from Kentucky’s own Rebekka Seigel.
The unique stories of these inspiring women, from Eleanor Roosevelt to Lucille Ball, are expressed in quilts that tell the stories and history of each woman in a most unique manner—the garments that each woman wore during her defining moments in life. From ball gowns to gold medals, each quilt tells the story of the contributions that each of these thirteen women made to history and the courage that each faced while breaking down stereotypes.
“Women’s Work: The Paper Doll Quilts of Rebekka Seigel” will be at The Frazier for a short time, so be sure to see the exhibit before it is too late! Exhibit is included with museum admission.
