The Frazier Museum’s real stuffed buffalo, “Buffy,” is easy to move, when necessary, because he has roller skates concealed under his hooves.

    Hello,

I’m interested in registering Liam for the Civil War hs day in December. Is there a way to do that online, or must I call?

I’m sad that he seems to be aging out of most of your programming. I still wish your staff would develop programing related to the many other wars of the 19th century!

    Thanks,

    Regena

Are small private school groups allowed to attend these programs?

  4. admin says:

    Hi Tammy,

Someone from our Education Department will be in touch with you regarding your question!

We would like to come up from Lexington for the Homeschool programs and were wondering if there were any suggested reading materials or pre-work lessons we could do before coming to the museum to make the visit even more meaningful (i.e. sample lesson plans with a focus on collections within the museum that could help guide us while visiting, etc.)? We love that you have a program, regardless. Thanks.

Great minds think alike! Our Education Department is in the midst of developing pre- and post-visit materials for all of our guided programs, however, these materials will not be through our internal review process – and ready for public use – before the end of summer. Until then, we would be happy to share gallery guides or other resources that might help enrich your visit; please just contact us at education@fraziermuseum.org and let us know the topic of your FIRST FRIDAY homeschool program. Thanks for your interest in our programming and we look forward to meeting your family!
